I would like to discuss about 'Salesforce surveys'.
Surveys, the word is much familious for us. Its something that providing a set of queries.
Here in salesforce, salesforce provide a facility to create questionnair easily. Salesforce survey is one of the best gift given by Spring '18. This new feature allows to create easy to use forms for collecting feadback and data by using simple editor.All collected survey data store in org.Using salesforce itself, can see data, create reports and dashboards, and share insights with company... Best advantage is based on response, user can create insights based on the responses.Let us go through slides.
Steps to be followed :
- Enable :Customize ----> Survey ----> Survey settingsSet 'Create surveys and send them to participants.' as EnableSelect the default community for creating public survey invitations. ---> Set to create surveys that are accessible to people who don’t have Salesforce accounts in your company, select a community.The community that you select must be enabled for public access.*
- Using Sharing Settings : Set 'Private' for 'DEFAULT INTERNAL ACCESS' for Survey & Survey Invitation
- User Permission : You can create one trial survey without additional permissions, so you don’t need to assign a permission set to a user to create a single survey. Assign Survey Creator permission sets to users only if they plan on creating multiple surveys.Permission Sets ----> Survey CreatorManage Assignments----> Add Assignments(Select Users)----> Done
- Guest Users Permission:For guest users of public communities so they can create, view, and update surveys.Survey ----> Survey settingsCheck which community is selected as the default community for creating public survey invitations.
All Communities ---->(Open the Community Builder of the of the default community.) ---->Setting Icon----> Select general ----> Click the profile name under Guest User Profile.---->Click Edit---->
---->Click Save.OBJECTPERMISSIONSSurveyReadSurvey InvitationsReadSurvey ResponsesRead, Create, AND Edit - Add the Survey Invitations Related List to Contact Records and Account Records: Contact ----> Page layout ----> (Open Needed)----> Select related list in the panel ----> Drag 'Survey Invitations' to related list section---> Save. Repeat for account also.
- Create a Survey:Surveys tab ----> New Survey on 'My Surveys' view---->Edit Survey Title page---->'Add Page' for questions----> Can change background properties ----> Can change question properties.---->'Cutomize 'Thank You' page---->To continue working on the survey later, click Save.---->To review how the survey looks, click Preview ---->To activate the survey so that you can send it to participants, click Activate. ---->Add logic rule if needed to go to relevent questions only:After you create at least two survey pages, Click The "See More" icon on a survey question card in the Survey Builder. The 'question logic' icon on the back of a survey question card on the page that you want to add a logic rule to.Copy a Survey to duplicate its questions and logic : Click ... at right type corner----> Click at 'Make a Copy' ----> Enter name ----> Do needful changes if any.----> if there is no needed lisence once try to save new version will get message as 'Looks like you need a Survey Creator license before you can create this survey. Contact your Salesforce admin for help.'Create a New Survey Version : Click ... at right type corner----> Click at 'Create new Version' to duplicate its questions and logic.Question Types:QUESTION TYPEDESCRIPTIONCSATParticipants select a satisfaction score from a list of numbers.DateParticipants select a date from a calendar.Multiple ChoiceParticipants can select multiple answers from a list of choices.PicklistParticipants search for and select an answer from a predefined list of options.Picklist options are stored as strings in Salesforce.RadioParticipants can select only one answer from a list of choices.RatingParticipants select a rating from a scale.SliderParticipants select a value on a sliding scale.TextParticipants enter a free-form text answer.Question Properties :PROPERTYDESCRIPTIONRequiredIndicates that a response is required.DescriptionLets you add a description field to the page.
- Send Your Survey to Participants : Activate the survey ---->Click 'Send' radio'---->Click 'Get Survey Link' button ---->Select whether you want to send your survey to participants within your company or outside your company.---->Select the settings for your survey invitation:SETTINGAVAILABLE FOR:DESCRIPTIONAnonymize responses

Participants can take the survey without revealing their name or other identifying information.Let participants see their responsesParticipants in Your CompanyParticipants with Salesforce accounts in your org can access their response record in Salesforce after completing the survey.Don’t require authenticationParticipants Outside Your CompanyLets a participant who receives a link take the survey without logging into Salesforce or a community. - Generate Survey Invitations Using the Process Builder : Process Builder----> New----> Name the process and specify that the process is triggered when a record changes.---->Click Save---->Select 'Case' as object---->specify that the process starts when a record is created or changed.---->Name the criteria----> Criteria for Executing Actions, select Conditions are met---->Set Conditions section, select Status as the field, and enter Closed as the value----> For Conditions parameter, select All of the conditions are met (AND)---->For Action Type, select Create a Record.---->Name the action.---->In the Set Field Values section, add the following fields.FIELDVALUESNameName of the survey to generate invitations forSurvey IDUnique identifier of the surveyNetwork IDUnique identifier of the community that us associated with the surveyLet Guests Respond

- Create a Custom Report Type to View Survey Data : Report Types ---->If prompted, click Continue ---->New Custom Report Type ----> Primary object, select Survey Versions---->Define the settings for your custom report type---->Next---->Survey Questions as related object ---->Next---->Survey Responses as related object----> Save---->Create Report based on the type.I hope you got an overall idea, so that you can implement on your org and make your business easier :0All the best :0
