Salesforce Lightning Experiance

Salesforce CRM is gearing up day by day. Lightning experience is a salient feature, that will provide efficient environment of work with  beauty components. Good to see, feel and work.

It is available in : Group Edition, Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, Performance Edition, Unlimited Edition, Developer Edition
Not available in : Personal Edition, Contact Manager Edition, Database.com Edition, Chatter.com Edition

Introduction :
Lightning Experience is modern and beautiful user experience from Salesforce with sales-centric mindset that provides  an intuitive, intelligent interface that helps sales reps work more efficiently and manage deals faster way. Lightning Experience takes the cool stuff from the Salesforce1 mobile experience and brings it to the desktop. It is a flexible, interactive tools that sales reps can use to visualize data and work deals in flight. It enables sales reps focus on the right deals and the right activities, every time they log in.

Nomenclature:
The name "Lightning" derived from the concept of lightning during storm. Isn't it fast? Isn't it beautiful, Isn't it unique ? Similerly  "Lightning"  experience is  fast, beautiful, and it is unique to each sales rep.

Switch between Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic :
Salesforce sharing capability to developers to switch between Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Once a new user registers, he is automatically login to lightning tool. He can switch back to classic and vice versa using the link available at setup menu.

  • Custom buttons (with JavaScript content source )aren’t supported.
  • If an app is supported in Lightning Experience, a Lightning Ready sash appears on its AppExchange listing. If an app isn’t supported in Lightning Experience, use it in Salesforce Classic instead.
